It is an honour to share my journey as a proud alumnus of the Sri Lanka Institute of Credit Management (SLICM). I began my Diploma in Credit Management in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, initially thinking it would mainly benefit Finance and Non-Finance sectors. However, I soon realised its relevance for the private sector too. The course, with its comprehensive syllabus and practical, engaging lessons from experienced lecturers, motivated me to complete all three levels—Diploma, Advanced Diploma, and Advanced Professional Diploma. SLICM equips students with invaluable tools for financial institutions, non-financial organisations, and private companies alike. As the Head of Recovery & Credit Controller at Würth Lanka (Pvt) Limited, the knowledge I gained has helped me implement innovative strategies and policies. I encourage private sector professionals, both back-office and front-office, to pursue this course, especially where structured credit management is lacking. Hi, I’m Sarojani. I successfully completed the Credit Management Diploma at SLICM, earning Associate Membership (AICM-SL). My experience with SLICM was both enriching and rewarding.
